How can I help in contributing to the testability explorer eclipse plugin project? I was trying to see if I could be of any help on the project site...

I wanted to contribute. FYI.. I am a bit new to TDD and have not used it before, but I am very much up for trying and helping out in any way I can .

Very nice. Alternatively, one could encourage test-first (followed by test-driven) development. Which also has additional benefits in design thinking and interaction with users.

Having to write the test before the code is a powerful disincentive to writing code that is hard to test. Having to retrofit tests, and worse yet having to re-write your code so that it is easier to retrofit tests seems like a disincentive to both testing and writing testable code.

Since you're interested in quantifying aspects of code to do with testing, you might be intersted in my on-going research, http://peripateticaxiom.blogspot.com/2006/05/complexity-and-test-first-0.html et seq, which is summarised here http://www.keithbraithwaite.demon.co.uk/professional/presentations/2008/qcon/MeasureForMeasure.pdf
